An original 1930's Waterman's Ideal Fountain Pens Advertising Statue. This fine & happy gent is very proud of his Waterman Fountain Pen that sits in his top pocket. The message below reads 'His "Bosom" Friend Waterman's Ideal Fountain Pen'. Each side has a further message, 'Nibs to suit every hand' & 'Every pen guaranteed'.
There is some loss to the glaze/crazing on his head and shoulder, but this just looks to his cool look.
A rare and great looking item. There are a few reproductions out there but this is the real deal.
The Waterman Pen Company is a major manufacturing company of luxury fountain pens and inks, based in Paris, France. The firm was established in 1884 in New York City by Lewis Waterman, being one of the few remaining first-generation fountain pen companies, as "Waterman S.A."
