A French Walnut Reclining Armchair Circa 1860. The wing back has seven adjustable positions activated via a simple iron ratchet system. The arms have extendable iron rods, perhaps to hold a tray. Raised on turned legs with an H shaped stretcher. Still with it's original quality hogs hair and ready to be upholstered.
COMPOSITION: Walnut, Iron & Hogs Hair
DIMENSIONS: (H) 121cm (D) 76cm (W) 62cm
CONDITION: Good. There are some historic woodworm holes and a slight split in the rear left leg which has no affect on the chairs structural strength.
PERIOD: Circa 1860's
