A magnificent large French, Normandy earthenware Tripiere or Tripe Pot. Bulbous in structure with big lug handles. Marked with the numeral '5' to one side. Beautiful warm tones in the glaze & terracotta.
These ancient pots were used to boil up tripe or for juicy casseroles.
