A good looking Victorian Rosewood Bookcase. Two original glazed doors are framed by a classical egg & dart cornice freeze to the top and two decorative solid rosewood columns to each side. The inside has a slatted wooden back and two shelves.
It cleverly comes apart in three sections, section one is the main carcass, section two is the double door section and section three is the top. All of the sections slot together.
We think that it may have originally been the top section to a pianola. Made by William Bogg & Sons of Manchester.
There is some veneer loss on top section and the top right column has a chunk out of it. Please take a look at the pictures.
